2. The Opportunity:

We are on the lookout for top-tier professionals to bolster our Business Development team in the vibrant DACH, UK and CEE regions. In this role, you will champion deal origination, implementing a metrics-driven approach to sales that not only meets but exceeds our strategic objectives. Collaborating closely with our esteemed Portfolio Managers, the Vice President of M&A, and the Business Development Lead, you will delve into, evaluate, and propel forward high-value investment opportunities. The ideal candidate will excel in networking and relationship-building, employing a mix of direct outreach techniques such as cold calling, social media engagement, and face-to-face interactions with key industry players, from innovative entrepreneurs to C-suite executives. This role is tailor-made for driven, self-starting individuals who excel in fast-paced settings and are passionate about driving growth and delivering measurable outcomes.

3. What You’ll Do:

Your role in the Juniper Group will be pivotal:

  • Growing our prospect database in the DACH, UK and CEE region by identifying vertical market software companies that meet our acquisition criteria.
  • Use your creativity and persistence to make impactful connections with business magnates and decision-makers.
  • Initiate and manage communication channels—from cold calls to social media—to forge significant business relationships.
  • Gathering, analysing, and presenting target company information to the M&A team and company executives.
  • Conducting sales development best practices to connect with and qualify prospects.
  • Assisting in the later stages of the M&A process as appropriate: e.g., supporting due diligence, contributing to the Investment Memorandum, and providing continuity of relationship among other tasks.
  • Inspire and guide our junior BD & M&A team members, promoting a culture of learning and excellence.

4. Job Requirements:

  • Multilingual Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; additional European languages are beneficial, fluency in German is advantage.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years in M&A, private equity, or venture capital deal sourcing, or enterprise software sales.
  • Industry Expertise: A strong background in sectors such as Healthcare, Travel, Financial Services/Insurance, or Manufacturing.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field is necessary.
  • Drive and Determination: Proactive, with a relentless pursuit of business objectives, combining analytical acuity with a robust networking skillset.
  • Team Spirit and Independence: Thrive in both team-driven and independent scenarios within dynamic, high-pressure environments.
  • Travel Requirements: Ready to travel 20-30% of the time to meet strategic goals.
