2. The Opportunity:

Juniper Group is on the hunt for a Director of Business Development, a role crafted for a distinguished professional with expansive industry connections and influence, particularly in the DACH, UK, and CEE regions. You will be at the forefront of our business development efforts, championing our strategic initiatives and fostering pivotal relationships with leading software companies. This role is not just about managing existing relationships but also about leading Juniper’s market expansion efforts and shaping our go-to-market strategy alongside our Senior Vice President. You will collaborate closely with our Head of M&A and Business Unit Managers to drive the acquisition cycle from start to finish, leveraging your extensive network and deep insights into the industry to clinch and seal strategic deals.

3. What You’ll Do:

As an integral member of the Juniper Group, you will:

  • Utilize your well-established network to pinpoint, engage, and transform high-quality acquisition prospects into tangible successes, especially within the DACH, UK, and CEE markets.
  • Connect with brokers, advisors, and other key players in the ecosystem to tap into the local transaction flow.
  • Showcase your creativity and resilience in connecting with business owners, operators, and C-suite leaders.
  • Support crucial phases of the M&A process, such as completing due diligence, developing our investment thesis, and maintaining ongoing relationships.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the BD & M&A teams, fostering a learning environment that encourages growth and development.

4. Job Requirements:

  • Language: Fluency in English is required. Additional European language skills are a plus, enhancing your ability to negotiate and collaborate across borders.  Fluency in German is advantage.
  • Experience: You should have a solid 10+ years background in M&A, PE, or VC deal sourcing or corporate development, particularly within enterprise SaaS. Experience in our core sectors such as Healthcare and Financial Services/Insurance will be advantageous.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics, Computer Science, or a related field is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.

5.  Job Location:

  • Language: The location for this role is the European Union, with the flexibility of being fully remote. Be prepared for approximately 20-30% travel, primarily within Europe, to forge new relationships and strengthen existing ones
